Curry Hike

June 15, 2009 by admin

The Panhandle Trail is one of Pittsburgh’s best kept secrets, but participants on the Venture Outdoors Curry Hike discovered this beautiful area on Saturday, June 6. The hike ended with a succulent meal prepared by Indian curry cook, Kanak Iyer. Check out some photos of the hike below!

Let me say how much i enjoyed hosting this curryhike, the group was wonderful and thanks you to Barbara for the delicious desert . I think we all made some new friends and my fellow team members at Ventureoutdoors and I had blast preparing the food. The hike itself is fairly easy although , you can take a more difficult path from my house down the mountain. It is pretty steep. Along with my friend and Collier Commissioner Kay downey Clarke , I attempted it and must tell you that I discovered muscles I never knew I had the next day. May be my volunteer friends will help those of us who are on the Trail committee , make this path possible , so you can hike all the way instead of driving. Also anyone interested in volunteering for the next curryhike with the food preparation is welcome, of course check with Lora.
see you at the next curryhike,
    kanak
