I now live in Spokane, WA and have already seen the Banff Festival in Nov. I highly recommend The Birdman of the Karakorum as well as A Little Bit Mongolian. Also a Cliffhanger, literally, is the film about Alex ? free soloing Half Dome. Absolutely frightening! Also loved the one about the british woman rowing solo across the Atlantic.

I get bored with movies that last over an hour in this venue. The festival is such a fun venue, I love the short films that are action packed. I loved the surfing dog, the home video of guys trying to master tricks on bikes, the ski and snowboard ones are always great. Kayaking is a great sport but not as good as a spectator sport for me. Perhaps because I can do the kayak stuff myself I am not as fascinated by it as I am some of the other extreme sports that people have mastered.
