“Relay riders made the trip in 24 hours, and those on the Venture Outdoors ride traveled the scenic route for eight days.”
“You pass through the old locks-and-dams system along the C&O Canal Towpath,” Sean Brady of Venture Outdoors said. “You get all this great scenery. You see old buildings and the lock masters’ houses. Then you move from the canal age to the agrarian age. You see farmland for miles.

This Saturday, October 4th, as a kick of to Pittsburgh Celebrates 250, The PNC Legacy Trail Ride will celebrate the opening of a 335-mile hiking and biking trail connecting Washington D.C. and Pittsburgh. The ride will finish on in Point State Park when families are encouraged to bike the last leg of The PNC Legacy Relay and The VO 250 Bike Tour, from the Hot Metal Bridge or PNC Firstside Center to Point State Park.
